The FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus Sensor is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) device used to track glucose levels in animals—most commonly dogs and cats with diabetes mellitus. The sensor is placed on the skin and measures interstitial glucose levels continuously, allowing veterinarians and pet owners to monitor glucose trends without frequent blood draws.

The Freestyle Libre 2 Plus is a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensor. In veterinary care, it is used under veterinary direction to track glucose trends in diabetic patients. It is a monitoring device, not a medication. Your veterinary team will advise on placement and use.

This product is a device or supply, provided by Mixlab for veterinary use.

The sensor is applied to the skin and worn for a period as directed by your veterinary team. Follow the placement and handling instructions, and share the readings with your veterinarian, who will interpret them as part of your pet's diabetes management. Do not adjust insulin based on readings without veterinary guidance.

Do I need a prescription for the sensor?

Mixlab will confirm any requirements before dispensing. Your veterinarian will guide its use as part of your pet's monitoring plan.

How long does a sensor last?

Wear time follows the manufacturer's specifications; your veterinary team will advise on replacement.

Can I change my pet's insulin based on the readings?

No. Share readings with your veterinarian, who will interpret them and adjust the plan as needed.
