Desmopressin acetate is a synthetic antidiuretic hormone analog used in veterinary medicine to treat diabetes insipidus in dogs. It is typically administered as eye drops or nasal drops, where it mimics the action of vasopressin to help the dog's kidneys conserve water and reduce excessive urination and thirst.
