Synotic® Otic Solution contains fluocinolone acetonide (a corticosteroid) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and is applied topically in the ear. It is used in dogs to relieve itching and inflammation associated with acute and chronic ear infections by enhancing steroid penetration into ear tissues via DMSO.
