STRONGID® Paste is a trusted, broad-spectrum anthelmintic (dewormer) paste formulated for horses and ponies to treat and control a wide range of debilitating gastrointestinal parasites. It belongs to the tetrahydropyrimidine class of compounds and is highly effective at targeting and paralyzing adult large strongyles (Strongylus vulgaris, S. edentatus, S. equinus), small strongyles, pinworms (Oxyuris equi), and large roundworms (Parascaris equorum). Because pyrantel pamoate is poorly absorbed from the digestive tract into the bloodstream, it remains concentrated within the intestinal lumen to safely paralyze the worms, allowing them to be naturally passed and expelled in the animal's manure without causing systemic side effects.

The active ingredient in this formulation is Pyrantel Pamoate, delivering 180 mg of pyrantel base per gram (equivalent to 43.9% w/w) within each syringe. The inactive ingredients consist of an inert, pale yellow paste vehicle, thickening agents, and stabilizers designed to keep the formulation uniform, prevent separation, and ensure the paste adheres well to the back of the horse's tongue for precise and stress-free oral delivery.
