The complete and balanced weight control diet includes a precise fat and calorie content which helps your cat maintain an ideal weight, L-carnitine to help metabolize fat, and adapted protein levels to support muscle mass. This diet includes a blend of soluble and insoluble fibers, including psyllium, to help regulate her appetite and energy intake so that she feels full and satisfied after eating. Plus, this diet has the exclusive S/O Index which means it promotes an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder.

This therapeutic feline diet utilizes a calorie-restricted nutritional strategy to support weight management. It is a veterinary-authorized diet frequently considered for cats requiring weight control or at risk of obesity.

This is a veterinary-authorized therapeutic diet formulated to meet AAFCO nutritional adequacy standards. It requires authorization from a licensed veterinarian and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

At a nutritional level, it manages caloric intake by providing a restricted energy density while providing high-quality protein to support muscle mass. Commonly observed effects include weight stability and improved energy levels. Because it manages caloric load, it may support metabolic health. Owners should follow the feeding plan authorized by their veterinarian and avoid giving unapproved treats.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. Weight Control requires professional authorization from a licensed veterinarian. Mixlab verifies all professional standards before dispensing.

How does this help my cat lose weight?

Veterinarians discuss this formula because it manages caloric density. This may be considered in the context of helping your cat lose weight while still receiving complete and balanced nutrition.

Does this food support urinary health?

Yes. This formula maintains an environment that supports urinary health, considered in the context of managing the risk of crystal formation during weight loss.

Can I mix this with regular wet food?

Mixing with unauthorized food will introduce excess calories. Only mix with the authorized Weight Control wet formula to ensure the protocol remains appropriate.

What monitoring is required?

Your veterinarian will recommend periodic weigh-ins to monitor your cat's progress. This monitoring ensures the nutritional approach remains suitable.
