Niacinamide (vitamin B3) is a nutritional supplement used in dogs (and sometimes cats) for its skin and immune benefits, often given orally as part of therapy for autoimmune skin conditions. It’s commonly combined with tetracycline in dogs to manage diseases like discoid lupus or pemphigus, helping to reduce inflammation and immune-mediated skin damage while minimizing reliance on steroids.
