EpiKlean is formulated to clean the ear canal and support a healthy ear environment, combining salicylic acid, a keratolytic ingredient studied for its role in breaking down debris and wax, with parachlorometaxylenol (PCMX), an antimicrobial ingredient.

The solution is applied into the ear canal and massaged at the base of the ear before wiping away excess with a cotton ball, and is intended for routine ear hygiene rather than treatment of a specific ear condition.

This is an over-the-counter product. Use according to the product labeling and your veterinarian's guidance. Available through Mixlab.

EpiKlean is generally well tolerated for routine use. For topical use only; do not use in ears with a ruptured eardrum. Avoid contact with the eyes, and discontinue use if skin or ear irritation develops. Wash your hands after application, and keep the product out of reach of children and other pets. Contact your veterinarian if your pet's ears remain red, painful, odorous, or itchy despite regular cleaning, since these signs may indicate an underlying issue that needs examination.
