This oral gel combines L-tryptophan, an amino acid that serves as a precursor in serotonin synthesis, with thiamine (vitamin B1), calcium, magnesium and a live yeast culture — ingredients commonly included together in equine calming and digestive-support supplements.

L-tryptophan is widely studied as a nutritional aid for supporting a calm, alert demeanor without sedation, while B-vitamins and minerals such as magnesium are longstanding components of equine nervous-system-support formulas; live yeast culture is included to support the hindgut microbial environment during periods of stress or dietary change. As a multi-ingredient nutraceutical, this combination is not reviewed or approved by the FDA the way a drug would be. Owners commonly use products like this around travel, training, farrier visits and other routine stressors; your veterinarian determines whether a calming supplement is appropriate for your horse's needs.

This description reflects general information about the supplement's ingredients; your veterinarian determines whether this product is appropriate for your animal.

This information describes a dietary supplement. Supplements are not evaluated by the FDA for safety or effectiveness and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Consult your veterinarian before use.

This supplement is generally well tolerated in healthy horses. Introduce any new supplement gradually and monitor your horse's manure consistency and appetite over the first few days of use.

Because L-tryptophan, magnesium and other nutrients can interact with a horse's overall diet and any other supplements or medications, let your veterinarian know everything your horse currently receives so they can watch for potential interactions and confirm this product remains appropriate. Check with your veterinarian before starting this or any new supplement if your horse is pregnant, lactating or managing a metabolic or endocrine condition.

If you show or compete, check with your show organization about any restrictions on nutritional supplements before an event.

Do I need a prescription for this supplement?

No. This is a retail dietary supplement available over the counter through Mixlab; it does not require a prescription from your veterinarian.

Can this be given alongside my horse's other supplements or medications?

Let your veterinarian know about every supplement your horse receives, including this one, so they can watch for potential interactions and confirm it remains appropriate for your horse's overall care plan.

Will this make my horse drowsy?

This supplement is intended to support a calm, alert demeanor rather than cause sedation; individual response varies, and your veterinarian can advise on what to expect for your horse.

How is this gel given?

It is administered orally, either directly by mouth or mixed into feed; follow the dosing on the product label or your veterinarian's guidance for your horse.
